Day 1 – 11.9.2022: London calling!
Despite the huge crowds of people gathering in the UK’s capital, we had a great day filled with wonderful experiences. We visited the London Dungeon, walked along the Thames, took a boat trip and we even made it up the highest building of Western Europe, the Shard from which we had the most amazing views of the city, also due to the beautiful weather. Of course, we also paid our tribute to her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. and put down some flowers.

Day 2 – 12.9.2022: Wandering about in Worthing
After attending English classes in the morning, we had a guided tour through the lovely town of Worthing which is growing in popularity, and we also explored the city centre and it’s many shops and restaurants. We also walked along the wonderful long stretch of beach and enjoyed the amazing weather. At the end of our day, we went to see a film at the Dome cinema, Britain’s oldest still running cinema. It’s celebrating it’s 111th anniversary just like our school, the BG/BRG Laa.
Day 3 – 13.9.2022: Teatime
Today after school, we did one of the most legendary British things to while in the UK. Just like the Queen, we went to the beautiful Palm Court Pavilion and enjoyed High Tea, including tea and cream, sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and jam. A real culinary delight! Due to some rain, our day ended in the Bowling alley where we had a great time knocking down the pins.

Day 4 – 14.9.2022: Free afternoon & pizza
Due to a mix of rain and clouds, we enjoyed some time going on a shopping spree and exploring the town by ourselves before we gathered for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5 – 15.9.2022: Bright, brighter, Brighton
Today we got onto a train to explore the popular seaside destination of Brighton, its beautiful Pier with lots of entertainment facilities and of course the Royal Pavilion.

Day 6 – 16.9.2022: Seven Sisters
Again we took a train to Brighton, but then headed for the Seven Sisters by bus where we hiked and explored the stunning countryside and the shore.
Day 7 – 17.9.2022: Heading home again
It’s about time to get home since the Queen’s funeral is about to take place and millions of travellers are expected at London Heathrow. We are deeply grateful for the time we could spend and the valuable memories we carry home. One thing’s certain: We’ll be back soon!
